Psalm 24:8 Who is this King of glory? It is the Lord, strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle
So many people hurting, and confused, railing against the unseen enemies, the intangible fears that grip, the whispering doubt that crowds out the positive shout. The briars of shame that trip and ensnare. The insecurities of childhood, come to visit the real life of adulthood. We must all realize that we are in a battle, and it’s a win or die fight.
Ephesians 6 says when you have done all you can do to stand… then stand.
Couple of quick things and we are out of here.
- You have to know who to follow. It’s a conscious choice. If you choose not to decide, your decision has still been made. There is no gray, it’s black and white. I have chosen to follow the King of Glory. Time to man up and ask yourself who you follow. Really.
- You have to train to be a warrior. You can’t go running into the fray without knowing how to protect yourself. You have to know how to engage the enemy. Training is key. It’s not a matter of maybe… it is an essential must. How do you train? Ask that of God, and He will give you the answer. For me it’s Reading, association, and worship. Time to man up and ask yourself if you have been training, or getting fat on the couch. Really.
- If you are standing in the gap, for your family, for yourself, for your friends… you will accumulate scars. Scars mean that you are in the fight. You will get wounded. When it happens, sit in the shade of your protector, and heal. It’s OK to heal. Really.
- If you have done all you can do to stand… then STAND. For Christ. For yourself. For your family. For your friends. For those that are healing. For those that are broken. For those that are hurting. As for me… when I stand before God, I intend to be disfigured… by scars. Really.
